Food Safety Training in Australian Capital Territory (ACT)

In the Australian Capital Territory, food safety is regulated under the Food Act 2001 (ACT). ACT Health sets standards and Access Canberra handles food business registration and compliance.

Most licensed food businesses must appoint a certified Food Safety Supervisor, in line with the national Standard 3.2.2A, which also extended requirements to schools, childcare and aged-care settings. Certificates for SITXFSA005/006 earned in the ACT are valid nationwide.
