Food Safety Training in Tasmania (TAS)
Tasmania's food safety is governed by the Food Act 2003 (Tas) and the national Food Standards Code, administered by the Department of Health Tasmania with local councils registering and inspecting premises.
Most licensed premises must appoint a certified Food Safety Supervisor, and food handlers need appropriate skills and knowledge. SITXFSA005 training is the standard pathway and is recognised in every state.
