Food Safety Training in Western Australia (WA)
Western Australia regulates food safety under the Food Act 2008 (WA), administered by the WA Department of Health with local governments handling registration and inspections.
While training is not always individually mandated for every worker, food businesses must ensure staff have adequate food safety knowledge, and Standard 3.2.2A means many premises must appoint a certified Food Safety Supervisor. SITXFSA005 is the standard food handler unit.
